What you can make

Craftwork Make's AI can build whole designs and editable layouts, generate raster images and vector (SVG) art, and edit images you already have. You describe what you want in plain language, and the result drops onto your canvas as real, editable layers.

Two ways to use it

You can reach the AI from two places, depending on whether you want a quick result or a conversation.

Prompt bar on the canvas — Turn on the magic-wand Generate on canvas button in the bottom toolbar to show a floating prompt bar. Type what you want, press Enter, and the result is placed on the canvas. Good for one-shot generation while you work. The bar doesn't lock while it works: each request runs on its own, so you can select another layer and start a second one right away. Every running request appears as its own card above the bar, showing what it's making, with a button to stop it.
AI chat panel — Open the chat from the left toolbar to have a back-and-forth conversation. Ask for something, refine it, and ask for more. Results are inserted as you go, so you can keep building on what you have. You can also paste a screenshot from your clipboard (⌘V) or drop image files onto the panel to attach them as references for your next prompt.

Your chats

Each chat runs on its own, so you never have to wait: while one is still generating, start a fresh chat with the pencil in the panel's top-right corner or hop into an older one — the work keeps going in the background, and the chat bubble button shows a pulsing dot while another chat is busy.

That bubble button opens the Chats list: every chat for this project, searchable, grouped by when you last used them and named after your first prompt. A chat that's still working shows a spinner in place of its timestamp. Click a chat to reopen it, hover one to delete it, or use Clear chat history at the bottom to forget them all.

Chats are remembered per project and per account on the device you're working on. Reopening one after a reload brings back the conversation itself; the images and layouts it produced stay where they belong — on your canvas — and the reply notes how many results it made.

Both produce normal layers you can move, restyle, and edit by hand afterward. The AI gives you a starting point, not a locked artifact.

Picking a model

You can choose a specific model for a generation, or leave it on automatic and let Craftwork Make pick a suitable one for the task. Automatic is a good default; switch models when you want to trade speed for more detailed results, or vice versa.

What powers your generations

How AI runs depends on where you're working.

In the browser (and with the metered service) — Generations use AI credits from your plan. Your current balance shows as a ✦ pill in the top toolbar. When you're running low, use the Upgrade option there to add more.
In the desktop app — You can connect your own AI agent (for example, Claude Code) with Connect AI and run supported models on your own subscription. When an agent is connected, those generations run through it instead of using credits.

New accounts include a batch of free AI credits to get you started. To keep those credits fair for everyone, sign in with a valid, personal email address — temporary or disposable email services aren't supported, and you may occasionally be asked to confirm you're human.
